Men’s Cross Country Wraps Up Season At State Championships

FRESNO, Calif. - The Warriors men's cross country competed in their final race of the season at the CCCAA State Championships at Woodward Park over the weekend.  

The Warriors came in 20th place overall in the team competition.  San Diego Mesa College won the team race while Daniel Abdala of Mt. Sac ran the individual race with a time of 19:52.

Anthony Gil was the top finisher for El Camino and came in 76th place with a time of 21:43. Arend Verfaillie came in 82nd place with a time of 21:48 and Stephen Hansen came in 94th place with a time of 22:00. Shota Shimizu came in 155th place with a time of 23:46.4 and Adrian Sixtos rounded out the top 5 by coming in right behind him at 156th place with a time of 23:46.8

The men's team has successfully qualified for 32 state championships in a row.
