TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 3-0 (25-9, 25-18, 25-18) loss to No. 8 Orange Coast on Wednesday evening at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors (3-3) suffered their second loss by way of sweep of the season and dropped their home opener in the process.
The offense struggled mightily as they recorded just 15 kills in the match and were held to a negative attack percentage.
Justine Sapitanan dished out 11 assists for the Warriors in the loss while Cynthia Nario added three service aces. Brenda Gurrola led the team with seven digs and Amiekal Looney had two blocks (one solo).
The Warriors will look to regroup on Friday evening when another ranked team heads to the ECC Gym Complex as No. 9 Santa Barbara comes to town for a 5 p.m. first serve.
