TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College women's volleyball team were swept at home against rivals Long Beach City College 3-0 on Wednesday night at the ECC Gymnasium.
It was a payback game for the Vikings because the Warriors (13-13, 11-5 SCC) swept Long Beach City College (12-9, 10-6 SCC) at their place the last time these two teams met.
Brea Rutledge led the Warriors with 10 kills. Janieva Tauanuu led the Vikings with 9 kills. Neither side hit particularly well with the Warriors hitting .046 for the match and the Vikings hitting .168.
The Warriors next game will be at home on Friday, November 12th in the opening round of the South Coast Conference Tournament. The Warriors will be the #3 seed if Long Beach City College is unable to make up a game with Compton College on Thursday. If the Vikings are able to play the game and win, the Warriors will be the fourth seed.
