Donatucci Named State Player of the Week
Sophomore Caitlin Donatucci was named the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches' Association State Athlete of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Donatucci has helped lead the Warriors to their current 11-game winning streak. She had a stellar week for ECC as she dished out 36 assists in a sweep over Cerritos on Wednesday and then followed that up with a 41-assist performance in a four-set road win at Mount San Antonio on Friday night.
Donatucci is currently ranked No. 4 in the state with a 10.13 assists per set average. She has recorded five double-doubles this season and has dished out 40-plus assists in a match five times this year.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday night as they host Rio Hondo at the ECC South Gym. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
