TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore Isabella Licata scored twice as El Camino College blanked East Los Angeles 3-0 on Thursday in the fifth-place match of the South Coast Conference Tournament at the ECC Soccer Field.

The Warriors found the back of the net three times in the second half to pull away from the Huskies while Jordan Stemburga made four saves for the shutout, her fifth of the season.

Both teams played evenly in the first half as they fired off five shots apiece with ELAC holding a 3-1 edge in shots on target. But the Warriors turned it on in the second half as they blasted 14 shots with seven finding the mark while holding ELAC to three total shots and one on net.

Layla Mendoza opened the scoring in the 68th minute as Evie Campbell drove down the right side of the box. She fired a low cross to the middle of the box where Mendoza was charging and the freshman tucked a left-footed touch past the keeper and into the net for the 1-0 lead.

Just two minutes later, Licata curled a corner kick from the far side and into the net past the ELAC defense for her first goal of the season to make it 2-0.

Licata would cap off the win in stoppage time as she smacked a left-footed shot on a free kick from 30 yards out off the hands of ELAC goalkeeper Camila Cano and into the net for her second of the match and third of the game for ECC.

With the win, the Warriors finish the season 5-10-5 overall.
