Four Players Notch Double Figures in Win over L.A. Harbor

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College had four players score in double figures in a 60-56 South Coast Conference victory over L.A. Harbor Wednesday night at the ECC Gymnasium.

Jaden Sanderson led the Warriors with 15 points while Piper Takenaka added 14 points and Brady Castaneda scored 13. Sarah Downs also added 11 points off the bench along with 11 rebounds in 17 minutes.

For the Seahawks, Jada Turner led the way with 26 points and Lara Matias scored 21 in the loss.

The Seahawks scored the first basket of the game but the Warriors took the lead on a jumper from Sanderson with 8:48 left in the first quarter and they would never relinquish it. The Warriors led by as much 13 points in the game and held off a late surge from the Seahawks to pick up their first conference victory of the season.

The Warriors outrebounded the Seahawks 63-43 including a 20-18 edge on the offensive glass. But the Warriors' 34 turnovers helped the Seahawks stay close.

The Warriors will travel to Cerritos on Friday for their next game with tipoff scheduled at 7 p.m. No fans are allowed at Cerritos for the event.
