WALNUT, Calif. --- The El Camino College track and field team wrapped up the 2022 season at the CCCAA State Championships this past weekend at Mount San Antonio College.

Much like most of the year, Yukina Hamachi and Dominic Britton provided the highlights for the team to finish off the season.

Hamachi posted a second-place finish in the heptathlon after posting a personal best score of 4400 points in the event.

On day one, Hamachi posted personal bests in the 100m hurdles (14.80), high jump (4 feet, 11 inches) and the 200m (26.28) to place her third after the first four events. She posted a new personal best in the javelin with a mark of 110 feet, 3 inches to vault into second place and she'd stay there the rest of the event.

In addition to her podium finish in the heptathlon, Hamachi placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 18 feet, 4 ½ inches.

On the men's side, Britton found his way to the podium with a third-place finish in the 110m high hurdles with a new personal best time of 14.21. It was a mark that also qualified him for the USA Track and Field Under-20 Track and Field Championships on June 23-25 in Eugene, Ore.

Other athletes making their mark for the Warriors at the state championships were Sierra Stokes with a sixth-place finish in the 400m, posting a personal best time of 57.22. She also finished sixth in the 200m with a time of 25.52.

The men's 4x100m relay team of Xerxes Reamer, Jaylen Allen, Matt Irvine and Kyvontei Campbell finished eighth with a time of 42.06.
