Foster, Bix Lead Warriors at UCLA

The El Camino College track and field squad headed to Drake Stadium to compete against some elite NCAA Division I competition over the weekend.

Carson Bix spearheaded the Warriors Friday night competitors as he competed in the mile and finishing 13th overall with a time of 4:14.46, a time that made him the CCCAA leader in the event this season.

On Saturday, a small but competitive group comprised of sprints, hurdles, long jumpers, and pole vaulters competed on the main stage at Drake Stadium.

Jasher Foster provided the main highlight of the day for the Warriors as he finished second overall in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 14.25. He also ran a personal best in the 400m intermediate hurdles with a mark of 54.05.

Spencer Coneybeare posted a personal best in the 800m with a time of 1:56.71 and Tim Mates posted a personal best in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 15.16.

Other highlights included:

  • Qwintin Workman's 10.84 100m and 21-11 ¼ long jump.
  • Tate Curran's 15-7 in the Pole Vault (1st against non D-1 competition).
  • Men's 400m Relay season-best 41.62.
  • Wyatt Davidson's 49.14 and Larry Hudson's 50.36 – both personal bests in the 400m.
  • Sheniya Mason's 26.67 and ELIZABETH 26.90 – both season bests in the 200m.
  • Marie Abe's 9-6 ¼ in the pole vault.
