Foster’s Win Highlights Warriors Weekend at UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational

El Camino College returned to full action this past weekend at the UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational where the Warriors faced a lot of competition from many top NCAA Division I teams including Utah Valley, Utah State, Fresno State, Northern Colorado, Pepperdine and UC Irvine.

The Warriors were the only representatives from the California Community College Athletics Association and were very competitive at the meet.

Jasher Foster highlighted the Warriors weekend as he won the 110 Hurdles with a time of 14.43, edging higher-seeded Asa Allen of UC Irvine.

In the 1500m, Carson Bix posted a fifth-place finish with a time of 3:54.47, which took over the top result in the CCCAA this season.

Tate Curran also posted a solid finish for the Warriors, placing second in the pole vault with a mark of 15-3.

Other highlights on the men's side included Qwintin Workman's fourth-place finish in the 100m (10.84) and third-place finish in the 400 Hurdles (54.48). The 1600m relay team of Wyatt Davidson, Dhahran Woods, Justin Moore and Workman finished third with a time of 3:20.53.

On the women's side, Marie Abe recorded a second-place finish in the pole vault with a 10-1 mark, just off her season best of 10-2.

The Warriors return to action on Saturday as they travel to the CSUN Invitational.
