Bio

Liz Hazell enters her third season as a member of the Warriors coaching staff in 2023. 

She has been the head coach of the El Camino College women's indoor volleyball team since 2017 and is also a member of the ECC Beach Volleyball coaching staff. 

Prior to coaching, Hazell was a three-sport star at West High School in Torrance, Calif., playing softball, soccer and volleyball. She attended El Camino College in 2000-2001, where she was a co-captain of a volleyball team that was undefeated in conference and placed fourth in the state in 2001. She also garnered the conference MVP as well as Athlete of the Year honors at El Camino College. She was one of six players on the All-State team as an opposite hitter.

From El Camino College, she transferred to California State University, Hayward. She earned All-Western Region honors for the two years she played. She was a history major and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2004. She completed a master’s degree in physical education from Azusa Pacific University in 2009.
