Bio

Kaitlyn Hooper enters her sixth season as a member of Jessica Rapoza's coaching staff in 2020 and her second as the Associate Head Coach. In her time at ECC, Hooper has helped lead the team to four conference titles, five regional appearances, four super regional appearances and a state championship appearance in 2018.

Hooper manages the pitchers, catchers and the instruction of hitting, fielding, and base running. During her time at ECC she has organized fundraising activities, community outreach involvements, and recruiting for the program.  

While coaching at El Camino, Kaitlyn attended California Baptist University where she earned her Masters of Science in Kinesiology.

Prior to CBU, she attended University of Redlands where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Hooper posted an ERA of 1.08 in conference and finished with a 15-1 record with two saves in her senior season. Hooper's performance helped lead Redlands to their 10th straight SCIAC championship. She received First Team All SCIAC recognition and SCIAC Female Athlete of the week.

Hooper started her college career at Santa Ana College, starting for the Dons either on the mound or in the outfield. She collected and impressive 24 wins her sophomore year. While at Santa Ana, she received scholar athlete honors and graduated with her Associate of Arts degree in 2012. She also had the opportunity to play internationally with the California A’s in the summer of 2012, competing in the prestigious Canada Cup. They played a number of international teams including the national teams of Peru, Mexico, Great Britain, and many more before clinching the championship.

Hooper is a 2010 graduate from Patriot High School in Riverside, CA earning three varsity softball letters with all-conference recognition and academic honors.
