David Thomas joined Noah Rubke's coaching staff as an assistant in 2018. He enters his second season with the program in 2019.

Thomas returned to El Camino college after playing one year as a Warrior before transferring to Cal Lutheran. While at ECC, Thomas was named First Team All-Conference after finishing the season with 90 goals, the fifth most in Warriors history. Thomas also had success during swim season where he was a double conference champion in the 100 & 200 backstroke. He also broke a school record in the 50 backstroke at the time, and now sits at #2 all-time at ECC in all three backstroke events.

At Cal Lutheran Thomas continued to compete at a high level, earning a starting spot on the water polo team his senior year. As he finished his senior swim season, Thomas broke the school record in the 200 backstroke in addition to being the backstroke leg of the school record holding medley relay team.

Thomas earned his B.S. in Marketing Communications and is also an L.A. County Ocean Lifeguard.
