TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College had a rough night offensively in a 3-2 (25-18, 21-25, 25-21, 21-25, 11-15) loss to Moorpark in the Western State Conference opener Wednesday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors (3-4, 0-1) attacked at just a .145 hitting percentage, making 33 errors along with 10 service errors and six blocking errors in the loss.
Andrew White hammered down 18 kills to lead the Warriors and Travis Hannemann added 11 but attacked at just a .091 clip. Mark Antonov dished out 32 assists and Vladimir Kubr added 12 with Ethan Morgan leading all players with seven blocks.
For the Raiders, Dakota Deuter led the way with 17 kills and Sean Schmutz added 14 with Daniel Ramirez dishing out 36 assists in the win.
The Warriors will now head to Antelope Valley on Friday for the first of three straight road contests for ECC. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
