TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College wrapped up the week on a sour note, falling to Santa Barbara 3-2 (19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 24-26, 16-14) in a Western State Conference tilt Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.

The Warriors got 21 kills from Gabriel Vargas-Featherstone but it was not enough as the Vaqueros had a star of their own in Keoni Thiim who matched Vargas-Featherstone with 21 kills of his own along with 10 digs.

For the Warriors, William Lubs added 11 kills with just one error on 24 swings for a team-best .417 attack percentage. Tommy Fraker dished out 47 assists and Luke Grafton added 19 digs but it came up short.

The Warriors will return to action Wednesday with a road contest against Moorpark. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
