Waldiya, Hossain Advance To State; Earn All-Conference

WALNUT, Calif. --- Shubham Waldiya and Tarik Hossain are both headed to the state championships in both singles and doubles after taking part in the Inland Empire Athletics Conference Championships.

Waldiya was the No. 5 seed at the IEAC championships in singles and advanced to the quarterfinals with two victories to automatically qualify for the state tournament. Hossain scored one victory to also grab an automatic qualifier to the state tournament. He would fall in the round of 16.

On the doubles side, the duo of Waldiya and Hossain drew the No. 3 seed and scored two wins to advance to the semifinals, qualifying for state in the process.

In addition to advancing, the duo also earned All-Conference honors in doubles while Waldiya earned All-Conference accolades in singles.
