Warriors Rally For Third Straight Draw at ELAC

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. - The Warriors took an early lead on Friday night at East Los Angeles but once again had to come from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at East Los Angeles on Friday night.

The Warriors (8-1-4, 1-1-3) outshot the Huskies (4-11-2, 1-3-1) and had more shots on goal (8 to 6).  Luis Garibay was credited with three saves for the game. Oscar Ponce made six saves for the Huskies.

The Warriors took a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half when Eduardo Grados netted a goal from penalty mark.  However, East Los Angeles started the second half strong and picked up two goals to take a 2-1 lead in the first twenty minutes of the second half.

Kalyl Silva was able to find the equalizer in the 81st minute to preserve a point for the Warriors.

The Warriors have tied in their last three contests.  Cerritos leads the conference with 14 points and Mt. Sac is second with 13 points. Long Beach is in third place with 10 points.  El Camino is in fourth place with 6 points. Rio Hondo and LA Harbor are right behind them with five points. Pasadena and Compton are also not far behind with 4 points a piece.

The Warriors will host Pasadena City College on Tuesday, October 29th.  Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
