Larry Lopez Named United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week

United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week Press Release

TORRANCE, Calif. - It was announced on Tuesday that El Camino College freshman forward, Larry Lopez was named the National Player of the Week for Junior Colleges by the United Soccer Coaches.

Larry Lopez scored the game winning goal in the 86th minute on the road at Chaffey College on Tuesday, September 24th.  That win gave the Warriors their fifth straight victory.

The freshman is third on the team with six points.  Lopez has two assists, two goals (both of the game winners). 

The Warriors are riding a 6-game win streak and an 8 game unbeaten streak so far to start the season.

The Warriors defeated Bakersfield College 1-0 on Tuesday.  They will open up conference play next Tuesday at LA Harbor
