The El Camino College men's soccer team undefeated start to the season has given the Warriors some national recognition as they have been ranked as the No.7 team in the latest United Soccer Coaches NJCAA DIII Poll. They have previously clocked in as the No.8 and No.11 team in the same poll. 

Of the top 16 teams ranked, there are 10 teams from the California Community College Athletic Association.   The Warriors are ranked as the third ranked team from Southern California behind #1 Mt. Sac and #4 Cerritos

The Warriors are off to one of their best starts since 2004.  The Warriors are 7-0-1 through the first seven weeks of the season. This is the first time the Warriors have gone undefeated into the month of October (no historical archive found from before the 2004 season).  They have outscored opponents 17 goals to 2 goals allowed.

The Warriors defeated Bakersfield College 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Bakersfield.  

The Warriors have at least four players with six points.  Oliver Diaz is tied for the team lead with 8 points (3 goals, 2 assists).  Eduardo Grados also has 8 points (3 goals, 2 assists). Larry Lopez has 6 points (2 goals, 2 assists).  Melvyn Perez-Cortez has six points (3 goals). Luis Garibay has been fantastic in goal for the Warriors. Garibay has allowed just two goals in 720 minutes and has a miniscule 0.27 goals against average.  Garibay has made 22 saves and owns a .917 save percentage. Garibay and the stellar defense have kept six clean sheets so far this season.

The Warriors will head to LA Harbor College on Tuesday, October 8th to open up South Coast Conference play.  Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
