Golf Finishes 4th in PCAC Event Hosted By Palomar College

SAN MARCOS, Calif. - The men's golf team finished 4th in their sixth Pacific Coast Athletic Conference event hosted by Palomar College at the par-72 Twin Oaks Golf Course. With all five schools competing in the event, the Warriors shot 387 as a team to end the day above Cuyamaca College and put a point on the board for El Camino.

"This was definitely our best match of the year," shared assistant coach Christopher Chin. "I hope the players realize that this is just a start and that if we play to our potential we can score in every match and be competitive with all of the schools in the conference."

Leading the Warriors was sophomore Theodore Giapapas, shooting 74. Sophomore Greg White and Michael Ozawa both tied for 9th place, each shooting 76. Freshman Ryan Omoto also finished off the day with 76. Freshman Matthew Rico ended the day shooting 85 while sophomore Jerred Gallardo shot 87.

The Warriors are back in action as College of the Desert hosts the next PCAC event at Desert Island Golf & Country Club on April 10th.
