Omoto Ties for 4th In PCAC Neutral Match at Gary Player Signature Course

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. - The Warriors participated in their third Pacific Coast Athletic Conference neutral match hosted at the Gary Player Signature Course, improving to a team total of 392. Out of the five PCAC schools that attended, the Warriors came in 5th, with Palomar College taking 1st.

"Coach Stacy Komai and I have known since the beginning of the season that this team had the potential to consistently shoot below 400. So it is great to see us finally playing the level of golf that we are capable of," shared Assistant Coach Christopher Chin.

Ryan Omoto was on top for the Warriors, tying for 4th place in the competition, shooting 75. Theodore Giapapas and Michael Ozawa came in closely at 77. Greg White was also not far behind, shooting 78. Matthew Rico shot an 85 and Jerred Gallardo ended the day shooting 92.

"If we can maintain some consistency, I think we can be very competitive for the rest of the conference season. Hopefully we build on the last two performances and keep shooting low scores," finished Coach Chin.

The Warriors are back in action on March 29th as Palomar hosts the PCAC at the Twin Oaks Golf Course.
