El Camino College had a nightmarish second half and saw a halftime lead evaporate in an 85-53 South Coast Conference, South Division loss to Cerritos on Wednesday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors (2-23, 0-9) played very well in the opening half and held a 38-36 lead going into halftime. But the Warriors committed 12 of their 21 turnovers in the second half and shot abysmally from the field en route to getting outscored 49-15 in the final 20 minutes.
Massimo D'Amato led the team with 21 points and Mauricio Cruz added 11 but no other Warriors player broke double figures.
The Warriors will travel to L.A. Southwest on Friday night for their next game. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
