TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College men's basketball fell to Grossmont College 83-55 on Wednesday night at the ECC Gymnasium in their home opener.
The Warriors (0-6) fell behind the Griffins (1-4) at the 18:36 mark in the first half and would trail for the rest of the game.
Massimo D'Amato led the Warriors effort with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Mauricio Cruz had 9 points and 9 rebounds as well. Vincent Warren led the Griffins with 27 points and 9 rebounds.
The two main stats for the game were that Grossmont had 24 points off free throws in 31 attempts. The Griffins also 28 points off of El Camino's 25 turnovers.
The Warriors are home for their next game and will take on Imperial Valley. Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM.
