Ferrel Named All-American, Arteaga All-Region as CCCAA Honors Announced

TORRANCE, Calif. - It was announced on Thursday that two El Camino College football players were given some post-season All-State, All-American, and All-Region honors

Both sophomores Robert Ferrel and Victor Arteaga were named to the Region III, All-StateFirst Team Offense.  

Ferrel was also named to the All-State, All-American First Team offense as an All-Purpose player.  

Ferrel was an outstanding player in the offense and led the Warriors in receiving yards and return yards on punt and kick-off returns.  The sophomore bounceback from Sparks, Nevada led the entire state with 1,835 all-purpose yards and was third in the state with an average of 166.8 yards per game.  Ferrel was seventh in the state with 610 kick return yards. He led the state with 449 punt return yards. And finally was 19th in the state with 784 receiving yards.  Ferrel finished the season with 11 receiving touchdowns off 44 receptions.He also scored two touchdowns on punt returns with his longest return being 92 yards. Ferrel averaged 24.4 yards per kick return and 17.3 yards per punt return.

Arteaga was a stalwart on the offensive line.  He appeared in all eleven games for the Warriors this season after playing in seven games in his freshman year.
