Warriors Fall at Fullerton

YORBA LINDA, Calif. – El Camino College struggled offensively on Saturday afternoon in a 33-7 loss to Fullerton at Nathan Shapell Stadium at Yorba Linda High School.

The Warriors managed just 154 yards of total offense with a negative net total rushing on the day. Quarterback Jerman Gotoy was sacked five times on Saturday and the Warriors turned the ball over four times in the loss.

Fullerton quarterback Quinn Commans went 25-for-36 for 304 yards and four touchdowns and running back Brandon Rankins ran for 107 yards on 20 carries to lead the Hornets to victory.

The bright spot offensively for ECC came in the second quarter as Dion Moore capped off a six-play, 74-yard drive with a 16-yard touchdown reception, beating two defenders to make the catch in the end zone.

Defensively, Logan Taylor finished the day with 15 tackles to lead the Warriors while Justin Martz added eight tackles and Tony Dancy had seven.

The Warriors will wrap up the regular season on Saturday afternoon as they host Cerritos at Murdock Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
