Bio

Jeysen Delgado enters his first season on the Warriors coaching staff in 2022. 

The Harbor City, Calif. native played at William Penn University in 2018 and was named to the All-Heart of America Athletic Conference First Team after he batted a team-best .393 with 11 doubles, two triples and seven home runs. He scored a team-high 53 times and managed 26 RBIs.  The senior had a .633 slugging percentage and also stole 23 bases.

Delgado was the most difficult player in the Heart to keep off base, guiding all players with an on-base clip of .528 (28 walks, 16 hit-by-pitches).  He also ranked third in stolen bases, fifth in both batting average and runs scored, and ninth in hits per game (1.26).

The senior owned a 14-game hitting streak during the spring.

Delgado was also named to the Heart's Gold Glove Team.  He did not commit a single error in 104 chances, including producing 102 putouts and two assists.  In regards to pure percentages, he ranks as the Heart's best fielder as no one had more chances without committing a mistake (next closest player had 77 chances).

Delgado attended L.A. Harbor College where he played in 34 games as a sophomore in 2016. He batted .258 with two doubles, one triple and 32 runs scored. He led the team with 15 stolen bases in 17 attempts.
