TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College wrapped up the 2022 regular season with an 11-4 South Coast Conference loss to visiting Mount San Antonio on Friday at Warrior Field.
The Warriors (29-11, 17-7) dropped just their second conference series of the year while the Mounties (32-8, 19-5) clinched a share of the SCC title.
Theo Forshey and Juan Carlos Camarena each recorded two hits and Ben Griffin hit a solo home run to provide the offensive highlights for the Warriors.
The Mounties pounded out 19 hits and scored 11 runs with Nin Burns II leading the charge, going 4-for-6 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI.
The tide turned in the fourth inning when the Mounties scored six times, sending 10 batters to the plate.
The Warriors never recovered despite scoring in three straight innings as the Mounties secured the victory.
The Warriors now await to find out their playoff matchup for next weekend.
