CHULA VISTA, Calif. - Two big innings was all it took for El Camino College to fall 11-0 at Southwestern College on Thursday afternoon at the Junction in San Diego.

The Warriors (5-5) dropped their second game in a row on the road as they fell against the Jaguars (6-4).

The Jaguars only needed two innings to score eleven runs as they scored seven runs in the second inning and four runs in the seventh inning.

Aaron Orozco got the start for the Warriors and took the loss.  Orozco allowed seven runs in three innings of work on five hits, four walks, and one strikeout.  Nathan Newmeyer was excellent in relief after throwing three scoreless innings and allowing just two hits, one walk, and fanning five batters.  Ryan Murphy tossed a pair of scoreless innings and allowed just two hits and struck out three batters.

Riley O'Sullivan got the win for the Jaguars after striking out nine batters in seven innings of work.

The Warriors offense only had six hits for the day. Julian Diaz, Chase Cosner, Diego Alarcon, Jimmy Galicia, Joey Acosta, and Juan Carlos Camarena each had a hit for the day.

The Warriors will look to get out of their mini slump with a home game against Chaffey College on Saturday, February 15th.  First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
