Warriors Wallop Eagles On the Road

SYLMAR, Calif. - El Camino College dominated on both sides of the field in a 12-0 shutout win at LA Mission on Thursday afternoon.

The Warriors (2-2) dominated offensively by pounding out 14 hits and scoring 12 runs.  The Warriors pitching staff also neutralized the Eagles (2-2) by holding them to just one hit for the game.

Jimmy Galicia was fantastic on the mound as he picked up his second win of the season.  Galicia no-hit the Eagles through six innings and allowed just two base runners on a walk and a base hit.  Galicia finished the game with 7 innings pitched and allowed zero runs, one hit, one walk, and struck out seven batters.  The Warriors bullpen had their best outing of the season with season pitching debuts by Ryan Murphy and Neil Feist.  Redshirt freshman Ryan Murphy threw a scoreless inning in his El Camino debut.  Neil Feist moved from first base to the mound to throw a 1-2-3 inning in the 9th inning while fanning two batters.

The Warriors pounded out 14 hits for the game with five different Warriors having multi-hit games. Benny Casillas was 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Diego Alarcon was 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBIs. Neil Feist was 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs. Tyler Wright was 2-for-4 with one run and Julian Diaz was 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. 

The Warriors used three big innings to bring in multiple runs. In the second inning, the Warriors loaded the bases with one out to start the inning. Juan Carlos Camerena walked to bring in the first run. Diaz brought in a run on a sac fly and Benny Casillas doubled in a run to spot the Warriors a 3-0 lead. 

The Warriors added four more runs in the fifth inning. Diaz and Casillas walked to start the inning before Chris Villavicencio doubled in one run. Diego Alarcon deposited his second home run of the year in the next at-bat to make it a 7-0 game.

The Warriors added three more runs in the sixth inning.  Diaz and Casillas both singled to start the inning. Alarcon was hit by a pitch to load the bases before Neil Feist brought in one run on a base hit. Tristan Gallegos hit a pinch hit 2-RBI single to make it 10-0. Neil Feist came around to score on a wild pitch.

The Warriors finished the scoring in the 8th inning after Neil Feist brought in Diego Alarcon on a RBI base hit and error by the shortstop.
