El Camino College had its six-game winning streak snapped Tuesday afternoon with a 5-0 South Coast Conference loss to Cerritos at Kincaid Field.
The Warriors (18-4, 6-3) offense struggled mightily as the team managed just five singles off Falcons starter Nicholas Martinez. The left-hander shut down ECC, going all nine innings and striking out seven to give Cerritos just their fourth win of the season.
Max Pappas took the loss on the mound for the Warriors as he allowed three runs on five hits and five walks. He struck out three.
The teams will tangle again Thursday as the series shifts to Warrior Field. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
