Bio

Taylor Brydon joined the Warriors beach volleyball coaching staff in 2022. 

Taylor played two years of beach volleyball at CSUN from 2019-20. In 2019, she played in all 28 CSUN matches and posted a leading 18-10 overall match record with partner Lauren McMurray, playing as the No. 3 and No.4 pairs. She earned All-Big West Honorable Mention in her first season with the Matadors. 

As a senior in 2020, Brydon played in all five matches for the Matadors, winning four of the five with Kailey Klein as CSUN's No. 3 pair before the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. She finished her career at CSUN with 22 individual victories, which tied for the 10th most in program history. She is also tied with Lexi McLeod for the top individual winning percentage in program history at .667 (22-11).

Taylor played two years for the Warriors under legendary head coach LeValley Pattison from 2015-16. She played in 51 total matches and 165 sets in her two-year career. She finished with 500 career kills with a .277 attacking percentage and a 3.03 kills per set average. She also added 280 career digs, 103 blocks and 34 service aces. In her time with the Warriors, Taylor earned All-State Team honors along with an All-State Tournament team selection. She was also named Team MVP and Female Athlete of the Year at ECC.

Taylor was born in Torrance, Calif. and attended South Torrance High School. She has two sisters; Renee and Jaime, and two brothers; Derek and Gunnar. Her sister Renee also played for the Warriors and her brother Gunnar currently plays for the Warriors men's volleyball team.
