Bix Named State’s November Athlete of the Month

Sophomore Carson Bix added to his accolades this week after he was named the California Community College Athletic Association Athlete of the Month for November.

Bix capped off his career with ECC Cross Country with an individual CCCAA State Championship, finishing the 4-mile course at Fresno with a time of 20:07.6, a full 13 seconds ahead of runner-up Salvador Capetillo.

The victory came after finishing second to Capetillo at both the South Coast Conference Championships and the CCCAA Southern California Championships.

It was an incredible sophomore year for Bix as he recorded three victories and finished on the podium in all eight of the Warriors' competitions this year.
