3CWPCA State Athletes of the Week - Week Four

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore Jackie Calhoun was named the 3CWPCA Week Four Player of the Week, it was announced Thursday.

Calhoun had an incredible week and helped lead the Warriors to a perfect 3-0 record. On Wednesday, she scored three goals with one assist and a team high four steals to help lead the team to a 13-6 South Coast Conference win on the road at Cerritos.

She followed that match up with her best scoring performance of the week, recording six goals and two assists on 10 shots to go along with another six steals in a 12-6 win over Crafton Hills at their mini tournament on Friday.

Calhoun would conclude things later in the day with three more goals and a team-high five assists with four steals in a 16-7 victory over Santa Monica.

For the week, Calhoun scored 12 goals and led the team with eight assists and 14 steals with three field blocks.

The Warriors have wrapped up play this week after scoring a 10-7 win over Chaffey on Wednesday where Calhoun notched another two goals, two assists and astounding nine steals. The team will carry their four-match winning streak into Long Beach on Oct. 18 for their next contest.
