Women’s Water Polo 2019 Season Recap

The El Camino College women's water polo finished the 2019 with a 5-17 overall record in head coach's Shelby Haroldson first season with the team. 

The Warriors finished with a 5-17 record in Corey Stanbury's final year as head coach of the women's water polo team last season as well. 

The Warriors won their first game of the 2019 season with a 12-7 win over Santa Monica on October 12th at the Ventura Tournament.  They won their first conference game on October 23rd with a 8-6 victory at home over Rio Hondo. They won another game over Santa Monica at home and against Crafton Hills at the Rio Hondo Mini Tournament.

El Camino College finished the regular season with a 10-7 victory over Rio Hondo in the seventh-place game at the South Coast Conference Championships.

Sonny Garcia led the team with 55 goals, 18 assists, 84 steals and 27 field blocks. Kat Reyes finished with 26 goals, 12 assists and 34 steals and Alexa Modry had 18 goals, 14 assists and 43 steals in their first seasons with ECC. Sophia Caravello finished with a 51.5 save percentage and 205 saves as the primary goalie for the Warriors.
