Reyes and Garcia Lead Warriors past Santa Monica

TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College scored an 11-4 victory over visiting Santa Monica Friday afternoon at the ECC Pool.
The Warriors were led offensively by Sonni Garcia and Kat Reyes as they combined to score nine of the team's 11 goals on the day. Sophia Caravello was solid in net once again as the Warriors wrapped up the week with their second win in the last three games.
Garcia scored five goals while Reyes added four for ECC. Alexa Modry and Andrea Baez rounded out the scoring for the Warriors.
The match was close early as the teams traded goals in the first quarter and were tied 2-2 with 3:37 left in the period.
But Garcia netted a power play goal with 3:18 left and the Warriors never looked back, scoring six unanswered goals to take an 8-2 lead and they never looked back.
The Warriors will wrap up their four-game home stand Wednesday afternoon when they host Pasadena at the ECC Pool at 3 p.m.
