Three Warriors Given Conference Recognition

TORRANCE, Calif. - The All-South Coast Conference teams were named yesterday and El Camino College had three players receive recognition for the 2018 season.  Sonni Garcia was named to the first team while Kate Wurth and Andrea Sandoval were named to the second team.

Sonni Garcia was the Warriors sole All-South Coast Conference First Team representative.  Garcia led the Warriors with 32 goals, 8 assists, and 53 steals. Garcia was 7th in the conference with 53 steals and 19th in the state.  

Kate Wurth was named to the All-South Coast Conference Second Team.  The freshman was second in the team with 15 goals. Wurth also had 8 assists and 15 steals for the season.  

Andrea Sandoval was named to the All-South Coast Conference Second Team.  One of the two sophomores on the team, Sandoval scored 7 goals and had 12 assists and 17 steals for the season.  

The Warriors finished with a 5-17 record in Corey Stanbury's final year as head coach of the women's water polo team.
