TORRANCE, Calif. – Danielle Mora recorded a season-high in goals as El Camino College defeated East Los Angeles 17-9 in a South Coast Conference tilt Wednesday afternoon at the ECC Pool.

The Warriors snapped an 11-match losing streak with Wednesday's victory, getting scoring outbursts from Mora, Sonni Garcia and Kate Wurth. The team scored five unanswered goals in the first half to build a six-goal lead and they never relinquished it.

Mora more than doubled her season total in goals on Wednesday, netting five tallies in the victory. Garcia also added five goals and Wurth found the back of the net four times to help the Warriors down the Huskies.

Ysabella Estrella, Andrea Sandoval and Megan Perez all scored a goal in the Warriors victory.

Mora and Garcia split their bursts in each half as Mora led the scoring with four of her five goals in the first half while Garcia scored four of her five goals in the second half. Wurth's goal with 1:35 left in the third quarter proved to be the eventual game-winner.

The Warriors will return to action on Friday as they head to the Citrus Tournament where they open the weekend against the host Owls at 7:45 a.m.
