Warriors Snag Seventh Place with Dominant Win over Rio Hondo at Conference Championships

The El Camino College offense erupted in the first quarter and that proved to be enough as the Warriors defeated Rio Hondo 16-5 in the seventh-place match at the South Coast Conference Championships hosted at Mount San Antonio College.
The Warriors scored eight times in the opening period against the Roadrunners and never looked back. Ilene Guerrero scored three of her six goals in the opening period and she added four assists in the match to lead ECC offensively. Andrea Canchola scored four times and had two assists while Cindy Ngo scored three goals.
Elizabeth Guerrero, Amber Sauer and Rachel Gardner also scored for ECC and Taylor Baird made 13 saves in net for the win.
