Warriors Drop Home Contest to East Los Angeles

TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College suffered its second straight South Coast Conference defeat after falling to East Los Angeles, 12-6, Wednesday afternoon at the ECC Pool.

Ilene Guerrero led the Warriors with four goals while adding one assist. Andrea Canchola and Elizabeth Guerrero scored the other Warriors goals while Taylor Baird made six saves in net.

For the Huskies, Allyson Jimenez led the way with four goals and Amy Cervantes added three. Alejandra Gazpar made seven saves in goal to secure the victory.

The Warriors trailed by five goals at halftime but trimmed the lead in the third quarter after scoring four times in the period. But the Huskies' lead never got below three goals and they outscored ECC 3-1 in the fourth to put the match away.

The Warriors will return to action on Friday as they head to the Ventura College Tournament for the weekend.
