TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College suffered an 18-2 defeat at the hands of Cerritos College in the 2017 season opener, a South Coast Conference affair, Wednesday afternoon at the ECC Pool.
The Warriors (0-1, 0-1) fell behind big early as the Falcons (1-0, 1-0) jumped out to a 9-0 advantage in the first quarter. The Warriors got on the board early in the second quarter as Danielle Mora and Ilene Guerrero each notched goals, but that was all the offense the Warriors would muster en route to an opening day defeat.
The Warriors will be back in action on Sept. 13 as they hit the road for another SCC matchup against Mount San Antonio College.
