Warriors Clinch Share of South Coast Conference Title with Sweep over Harbor

TORRANCE, Calif. – No. 13 El Camino College secured its eighth straight South Coast Conference title with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-20) sweep over L.A. Harbor in the regular season finale Tuesday night at the ECC South Gym.

Aiko Waters led the way for the Warriors (19-4, 7-1) with 10 kills and seven digs while Renee Brydon was incredibly efficient with eight kills on nine swings without an error, good for a match-high .889 attacking percentage. Jaylin Motley added nine kills while Kiana Takahashi led all players with 10 digs.

Sarah Dyer (17) and Keily Morimoto (14) combined for 31 of the team's 33 assists and set the Warriors to a .287 attacking percentage.

For the Seahawks (10-10, 4-4), Jade Mitchell led the way with nine kills on 19 attempts with one error and Carissa Yamanishi dished out 16 assists in the loss.

The Warriors will now await to find out who they face in the CCCAA Women's Volleyball State Playoffs, which begin Tuesday, Nov. 21. Should they earn a high seed and host a first round match, that would take place at the ECC South Gym at 6 p.m.
