Sophomore Michelle Shimamoto (Da Vinci HS) led the team defensively with 26 digs.  Shimamoto's resilient defense showed especially against the Vikings', Sarah Miller who finished the game with 27 points.

The first two sets of the game were won by LBCC, 29-27 and 25-19. However, the Warriors came back ready to fight in the third set winning 25-18.  Their momentum continued in the fourth and fifth sets outscoring LBCC 25-13 and 15-10.  Assistant Coach Liz Hazell was happy with the teams' outcome.  "It shows how much our conditioning pays off…we workout really hard to prepare for moments like this.  We would have liked to win game 1 when we were up, but I thought we were very resilient.  We did everything we were working on and it paid off."

The Warrior's are 21-3 and 8-0 in SCC south.  The Warrior's will begin Southern California Regional Playoffs - Round 1 on Tuesday, November 22nd at 6pm at El Camino College South Gym.
