Clark not only won the javelin event but also set a new ECC stadium record of 148-1, which was previously held by Bakersfield College, a 33-year-old stadium record of 146-9 ¾.

For the men's division, the Heinemann twins continued to dominate as well, with Travis winning 1st and Kevin taking 2nd at 159-5. Thomas Craig was right behind them to take 3rd with a 136-8 toss.
