WALNUT, Calif. – El Camino College wrapped up the South Coast Conference Championships on Saturday with both teams finishing strong.

On the women's side, the Warriors finished the event in second place with 615 points, well ahead of third place East Los Angeles (380). Mount San Antonio College took home the title after posting a score of 730.5 over the three-day event. Pasadena (341) and Long Beach City (333) rounded out the top five.

Amber Sauer secured the SCC title in the 1650 freestyle, finishing in 18:57.55. Andrea Canchola finished fourth (19:47.48) and Sabrina Byrne (20:33.89) touched the wall in fifth place for the Warriors.

On the men's side, the Warriors finished with 441 points to wrap the weekend in fourth place. Mt. SAC took home the crown with 845 points while Long Beach City (590) and Pasadena (544) wrapped up the top three.

Ryo Kagawa won his second event in as many days, taking home the 200 breaststroke title with a time of 2:06.31, two seconds better than Sydney Odent of Pasadena.

Overall this weekend, the Warriors took home conference titles in eight events and broke two ECC records.
