Ngo Leads Warriors at Day One of South Coast Conference Championships

WALNUT, Calif. – Cindy Ngo shined for El Camino College on Thursday during day one of the South Coast Conference swimming championships at the Marie T. Mills Aquatic Facility in Walnut, Calif.

Ngo won the 50 Freestyle with a near record-setting time of 24.37, just a tenth of a second short of setting a new ECC record in the event.

Along with Ngo, the 200 Freestyle relay team won their event with a time of 1:41.61, nearly two full seconds better than second-place Pasadena.

The results helped the women's team finish in first place after day one with 210 overall points, just ahead of second-place Mount San Antonio College.

On the men's side, the Warriors sit in fourth place after day one as they accumulated 144 points on Thursday.

The championships continue Friday and will conclude on Saturday.
