Jean Liu Finishes 10th in First Day of Conference Diving Championships

TORRANCE, Calif. - Only three Warriors competed in the conference diving championships as the Warriors hosted the first day of the event on Friday afternoon. With the day one complete, Jean Liu was the highest ranking Warrior in the one meter diving event.

Among the strong competition present, Liu ranked 10th out of the 24 divers that competed, scoring 141.40. With today's performance Liu qualifies as an alternate, which gives her the possibility to advance to State. Andrea Orozco was four places behind Liu, scoring 103.75. Clare Siverts was the third Warrior to compete, finishing with a score of 50.85 (24th).

The second day of the event will be hosted at El Camino, with the women's portion set to begin at noon.
