MENIFEE, Calif. --- No. 17 El Camino College had its 2023 season come to an end Thursday after a 2-1 loss to No. 16 Mt. San Jacinto in the 3C2A Southern California Women's Soccer Regional Play-In game at HCN Bank Stadium in Menifee, Calif.

The Warriors got a goal from Claire Mahon with an assist for Allison Sibley but that came after the Eagles were already ahead 2-0. Mahon's goal in the 88th minute was her sixth of the season.

Both teams played to a scoreless draw in the first half but the Eagles opened the scoring in the 53rd minute with a goal from Karyme Mendoza. She would add a second in the 74th minute on a penalty kick, which proved to be the game-winner after Mahon's strike in the 88th.

McKenna Morey made six saves in the net for the Warriors. The Eagles will now face No. 1 seed Chaffey on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Warriors season ends with a 12-5-3 overall record and 6-2-1 mark in conference play. The Warriors have now advanced to the postseason for three straight seasons after not appearing in the playoffs since 2010.
