TORRANCE, Calif. - Ashley Ruiz scored her first career hat trick for the Warriors as the El Camino College women's soccer team defeated LA City College 6-0 at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Ruiz scored once in the first half and twice in the span of a minute in the second half to secure the hat trick.

The Warriors (11-3-1, 6-1 SCC) also along with the men's team completed a perfect record at home for the regular season.  The Warriors went 8-0 at home for the season.

The Warriors outshot the Cub 36-to-4 for the game with 15 shots on goal. This was the most shots the Warriors have had in a single game all season.

Allison Sibley scored the first goal of the game in the 6th minute for her 21st goal of the season.  Claire Mahon stole the ball and passed it up to Catherine Curwood-Wagner who played a through ball down the left side to Sibley who easily shot it past the keeper on the far post to make it a 1-0 game.

The Warriors made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute for Ruiz's first goal of the day.  Natalie Rodriguez played a ball down the right side to Bella Baligad.  Baligad dribbled down towards the endline and sent a cross that went untouched across the box to Ruiz who poked the ball into the net.

The Warriors took a 2-0 lead into halftime with an 18-to-3 shot advantage.

The Warriors made it 3-0 early in the second half in the 49th minute.  Allsion Sibley dribbled down the right side of the box and sent a cross into the middle.  Ruby Colcol was the first person to touch it and got the ball past the keeper to make it a 3-0 game.

Ashley Ruiz scored in quick succession in the 57th and 58th minute on pretty much the exact same play. Allison Sibley played a through ball to Claire Mahon down the right side.  Mahon sent a cross to a wide open Ruiz at the back for her to one-touch the ball into the net.

The Warriors scored their final goal in the 81st minute.  Ruby Colcol sent a through ball to Bella Baligad down the left side.  Baligad saved the ball from going over the endline and passed it back to Vanessa Lopez.  Lopez sent the ball to Colcol who was on top of the box and she unleashed a shot over the LACC keeper to make it a 6-0 game.

The Warriors will head to Long Beach City College on Friday, October 27th.  Kick-off is set for 5:30 p.m. The next two matches will decide the Warriors fate for seeding at the South Coast Conference tournament.  Long Beach tops the South Division with a 6-0-1 conference record and the Warriors are 6-1. Pasadena is second in the North Division with a 5-2 record.
