UNITED SOCCER COACHES NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - OCT. 18 | USC WEEKLY RANKINGS - POLL 7

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- El Camino College freshman Yoseline Panduro was named the United Soccer Coaches' Junior College Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.

Panduro becomes the first Warriors player ever to win the award from the USC. Last week, she scored two goals with two assists as the Warriors went 2-0.

She started the week on Oct. 10 with an assist on a goal that broke a 1-1 draw against Rio Hondo. She then scored what would be the game-winning goal in the match to make it 3-2 ECC. She would go on to add a goal and an assist in the Warriors' 9-0 win at East Los Angeles.

Panduro has played in every match for the Warriors this season, primarily coming in as a reserve. Her two goals last week were her first tallies of the season and her two assists doubled the amount of helpers she had on the season up to that point.

In addition, the Warriors were ranked No. 12 in the nation according to the USC DIII Women's Rankings released on Tuesday. It is the highest the team has been ranked this season. They were ranked No. 17 early in the season and had been unranked in the poll for the past two weeks.

The Warriors are currently in the midst of a four-match winning streak. They are currently 4-0-1 in conference play and trail Long Beach by percentage points in the South Coast Conference, South Division. The team will wrap up the week on Friday afternoon when they host L.A. Harbor at the ECC Soccer Field.
