El Camino College Drops 3-0 Decision to Cerritos College on Halloween

NORWALK, Calif. – El Camino College was defeated by the No.5 team in the state Cerritos College 3-0 on an away fixture on Tuesday afternoon. 

El Camino College (9-8-1, 3-3-0) was outplayed offensively by the Cerritos College Falcons (14-1-1, 4-0-0) who outshot the Warriors 25-5 and out cornered them 6-1. 

The Falcons scored two goals early in the first half (7th and 13th minute).  They would tack on a third goal in the 87th minute.  Stephanie Nava scored all three goals for the Falcons.

Maddy Simones and Robin Riggs were the only Warriors with shots on goal for the day.

Isabel Rojas had a busy day in the net, and was credited with making twelve saves on fifteen shots on goal. 

Overall, the month of October has been kind to the Warriors.  They entered the month of October with a 2-6-1 record and a -7 goal differential.   In October, the Warriors went 7-2 with a +11 goal differential.  The Warriors enter their final three games of play with a 9-8-1 record and +4 goal differential. 

The Warriors will return to action on Friday, November 3rd at 4:00 PM for an away fixture at Chaffey College.
