El Camino College Picks Up Fourth Straight Win in 3-0 Victory Over Pasadena City College

PASADENA, Calif. - The El Camino College women's soccer team picked up their fourth straight victory in ten days on Friday evening at Robinson Stadium in Pasadena.

The Warriors (6-6-1, 2-2) scored three first half goals to down the Lancers of Pasadena City College (6-4-2, 0-3-1) in a SCC crossover affair.

Robin Riggs opened the scoring in the fourth minute of play when Princess Butler assisted Riggs on the goal with the tap-in shot.

Nearly ten minutes later in the 13th minute ECC doubled the advantage.  Jodie Brennan and Monica Bernardino assisted Izabel Gutierrez with her second goal of the season.  Brennan sent in a cross in the box then Bernardino passed it to Gutierrez who slotted it into the net.

ECC wasn't quite done scoring in the 1st half when Maddy Simones added her team-leading 6th goal of the season in the 23rd minute.  Carrisa Orellana found Simones who shot into the far corner for the goal.
Isabel Rojas made a great save in the 27th minute to preserve the clean sheet in the first half.  Rojas made three total saves in the first half.

In the second half, the Lancers attempted thirteen shots compared to the Warriors eight shots.  Kelly Gallagher did her part to keep the Lancers out of the net, coming up with four saves.

ECC almost made it four goals at the death of the game.  Robin Riggs had a shot saved by Lilly Urumieh in the 90th minute of play.

El Camino has scored fourteen goals and given up just two goals to the start the month of October.

El Camino College will look to continue their fine form of play with two home games next week.  On Tuesday, October 17th they play Mt. San Antonio and on Friday, October 20th they play East Los Angeles.  Kick-off is set for 4:00 PM for both games.
